BloggingZoom Sends the Traffic

Date November 15, 2007

Welcome to BloggingNotes. You may want to subscribe to my full text RSS feed. This message will only appear once. Thanks for visiting!

BloggingNotes.net went live on November 6th, just about a week behind BloggingZoom started sending traffic back to the bloggers who had submitted information on their latest posts.

In that time, I’ve seen traffic coming to this site that I’d never seen on the other blogs that I currently write for.  This morning I had a look at my Google Analytics stats, and this is what I discovered:

While it appears in the Google Analytics table above that BZ was only the 3rd most active referral, all of that StumbleUpon traffic could only have shown up because someone coming from BZ submitted the link to be stumbled.  Jason Clark also posted his second week thoughts about using BZ.

And for those who have submitted my posts to StumbleUpon, and also for those who’ve just come by and read a post or two, whether you’ve commented or not, thank you very much.

I appreciate all of the feedback that I’ve gotten so far, and will keep trying to come up with original content and links that make your blogging better.

That’s very close to the number I saw my first week on BZ. As you saw in my second week update it went up quite a bit. I think we’re only going to see more and more traffic from BZ as we continue to spread the word.

    Keep up the good work!

Thanks, you too. I haven’t quite had the same percentage as you go ‘hot’, but I’m working on it. :)

BZ sent me a few readers that commented on my site, and I do hope they stay. I like BZ, and Im hoping the community grows even more, but remains as warm and welcoming as it is. And eventhough it’s not the the highest source of my site hits, I see a lot of potential in BZ.

Saedel - I couldn’t agree more about the potential of BZ. I’m glad I got in as close to the beginning as I did.

    Hi Rod -
Thanks for a great site. I found you at Blogging Zoom, and I just joined, so don’t have any stats for you yet. I think you WILL provide a valuable site for Bloggers if you keep up with posts like this that give very helpful details. I have heard that stumble-upon does not send good traffic, but from your stats it looks like their visitors view more pages than Blogging Zoom. Interesting.

Scott - I think you’ll be quite surprised at the amount of traffic that BZ is able to send your way. While Stumble does send a fair bit of traffic, I think that it’s directly because someone who came by the site via BZ.

Thanks very much for your feedback. Hope you’ll subscribe to the feed, or just keep checking the site.
